After a long day's journey, I have finally arrived in the Dominican. I have to say, the most impressionable thing so far is the people - they are outstanding. Everyone we have meet has greeted us with smiles and kind words. The best news I can give you right now is that I do have a place to work and live this summer. This evening at dinner I met the director of the ACJ-YMCA I will be working at. It's looking like I will be teaching two separate English classes - one for kids ages 7-12 and another for adults. The best part is - he told me how everyone is so excited about classes and have been talking about it for a week! Actually - I was told that there were many people interested in hosting me this summer so it was hard to chose which family I would be staying with.
Anyways - I am exhausted and am going to bed. Before I do I'm going to post just a few pictures I took today, so at the top of the blog there is a link that says "Photos" - just click it to check out what I've been up to.

Went to California for the weekend with my aunt two weeks ago.
